    We raise free-range hens in Person County, North Carolina. On June 22, 2011 we found a 6-foot black snake in one of our hen houses. The snake had clearly eaten 8 eggs. I took this photo and was pleased to see that you can actually count the eggs in the snake's body. The chicken appears unimpressed.
