These footholds in the rock at Starved Rock State Park have been at the mouth of one of the canyons for as long as I can remember. They literally illustrate man's footprint within the park. A reminder that we have left our mark on nature without taking away from the natural beauty all around. The old adage, "Take Only Pictures, Leave Only Footprints" is illustrated here as eloquently as any spoken or written word.
