On my first day in Kyoto I visited Kiyomizu-dera Temple for the Autumn leaves. I was not expecting to stumble across a Heron. Unfortunately with all the foot traffic around I had to act fast before this bird flew away. So I didn't bother changing my 24mm lens instead I inched my way closer and closer until I got this photo. The colour is amazing with all the autumn leaves around and the green moss just adds to the contrast.
