This image of the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park was captured after a storm began clearing. That morning a few photographers came to Miscowawbie Peak and left to pursue other shots. I was glad I was patient as the light turned the scene into a sublime landscape. I love the "Porcies" mostly because of their old growth hardwood forests - rare in Michigan.
