For John Muir, nature is the manifestation of the spirit. He spent most of his life in Yosemite Valley and it is easy to see why he felt so close to God in this spot. This photo was taken on the Panoramic Trail while hiking with my parents. I will never forget the beauty of and peace I felt in this place. From this view, all of Yosemite's truly iconic landmarks can be seen including halfdome, the falls, and a lovely prairie/forest.
