Edit Photo Details Rooftop pegs   #pegs
I was in Essaouira, having breakfast in the kitchen overlooking the rooftops when I noticed those pegs which reminded me that life does indeed happen over the rooftops ... cooler at night but also useful to hang & dry clothes and linen. In the past, rooftops were typically women's place where they could wander freely without being watched by men. Now, Essaouira rooftops are mostly occupied by tourists but those pegs shows that traditional activities remains luckily !
