The rotation of the Earth captured in the trails of the stars over Cape Canaveral, Fla. for the launch of NASA's TDRS-L satellite on Jan. 23, 2014. Image composite from 380 identical 20-sec exposures for the star trails, 4 minute exposure for launch, then stacked all in Photoshop for the final result. I waited a few years to try this, & finally all the conditions came together this night; low humidity, no moon, no clouds, no wind & several hours to pull off the star trails prior to launch.
