While taking a tuk-tuk ride in Madurai, India, I quickly attempted to manually focus the lens to capture this shot as we sped past their home. The mother seems riddled with pre-occupied thoughts and stress as the young boy heads off to school w/ his back back and neatly-styled clothes. Just outside their home is a glimpse of the alleyway -- a very realistic sample of the manual effort and hard-working lifestyle.
