I worked on logistics projects for this aircraft when I was in the US Air Force... So, it was great to see this bird once more. Seen on the USS Intrepid Air and Sea Museum in Manhattan, New York. It still holds the record for being the world's fastest aircraft ever built. The aircraft is quite unique for it is built entirely of Titanium! This allows for the skin to expand and contract as it flies at supersonic speeds in SUB SPACE... Several of the engine components are made of gold!
