When I went to the Peradeniya botanical garden I was convinced it was going to be full of tourists (it was recommended in by travel guide...). But I was nicely surprised when I arrived there. The garden was full of local people. Families having picnics, school classes playing games, very cute young couples taking long walks... It was amazing.
