    This picture of a a Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet approaching the sound barrier at the 2011 Atlantic City Air Show. At transonic speeds, intense low-pressure areas form at various points around the fighter jet. If the conditions are correct, visible areas of vapor or clouds will form.
