shawarma is roasted chicken or lamb or beef or camel-meat #here in the picture it is chicken and mutton the shaft on which the chichen or meat is mounted and revolves slowly at snail-space horizontally passing through the heat for grill/roast it is then scraped and placed in a flat bread (similar like the pizza bread) and mixed with a little salad and mayonise, yumm.. its my favorite since my days of working in the gulf This picture is in Dusseldorf Germany in a Turkish restaurant.
