Love at the End
I encountered this decaying leaf on our neighborhood dog walk. It had nearly disintegrated into the sidewalk. I thought of how much love can be present in transitions, in the ending of things - lives, phases, seasons. The remaining stem even looked like an aorta. I was struck by how much beauty there is in endings.
