During Spring in the Yampa Valley occurs a wonderful event in nature, the return of the Sandhill Cranes. The migration of thousands of the ancient creatures fills the valley with the wonderful sounds of flapping wings and ancient mating calls. These cranes share the fields with pronghorn, owls, elk, cattle, farmers and keep a watchful eye out for coyotes and eagles. The diversity of this area is second to none during this time of year.
