White Tiger
Recessive genes inherited by a white tiger from both its parents inhibit the production of the red and yellow pigments that give the regular tiger its characteristic orange coat. With blue eyes, the entire global population of captive white tigers is descended from a solitary male white tiger cub captured in 1951 from the Rewa forest of Central India.
