    The Gurne are 16 small lakes formed in the lava bed of the river Alcantara, round and falling towards each other. The width of the Gurne varies between 5 and 30 meters in diameter and depth from 5 to 10 meters. The Gurne are located entirely within the territory of Francavilla di Sicilia.
