    Some nudibranchs show visible signs of ageing. Although this species has many variations across its geographical distribution, the ones in this area get lighter in colour as they grow. The yellow markings on the dorsum also get more complex usually starting by being only a few longitudinal lines. I'd say this is a fairly old individual approaching its first (and only) year of age.
