In the riverside village of Wivenhoe in Essex, there is a bright red post box set in the wall of a house with a curved pink wall. Like many English villages, Wivenhoe has narrow streets and this particular street ends at a quay on the River Colne. I have always liked this particular view, but on this visit, a For Sale sign rather spoiled the larger view, so I had to focus closely on the detail to avoid it.
