Found only in the Carolinas, these Oconee Bells were found along a creek in northwestern South Carolina. The day was perfect - deep overcast, misting drizzle and no wind. I used a 90 mm macro lens on my Nikon D300s to capture this elfin image of this rare and beautiful flower.
