For me the essence of home is captured in a farmhouse under the stars in winter, the smell of the wood-burning stove and the warm lights that beckon. I travel a lot so home is complex for me. I feel at home in many places, but for me there is no feeling like landing back in Colorado, especially in winter, and approaching the warmth of familiarity. I love it as much as the wide world outside.
