Sheep grazing in brief Himalayan Summer
On a physical field trip, in Himachal Pradesh, India, 2012; at a height of aprrox. 3500 m amsl. One of the best I ever took!!
In the month of June, when the snow melts, the 'Gaddi', takes them to this height to graze in the grass that springs up for a short time. The Gaddis are herdsmen by tradition and they still continue to live like nomads. The Dogs seen are known as 'Tibetan Husky' and they protect the flock.
The Chandra river is also seen flowing through the snow-capped mountains..
