As graduate students in Genetics, we spend a lot of time thinking about how nature works, and yet spending very little physical time outside the lab (or frankly away from a computer). I decided to take my fellow classmates on a pseudo nature break to catch a sunset at the Sutro baths, but the lovely San Franciscan fog derailed our plans, and instead we were greeted with a hauntingly beautiful walk around the park nearby. Small, unexpected adventures are always the best.
