Last summer I visited an old cemetery and saw the Mom turkey with her babies. Everyone told me that turkeys do attack, but I was in front of her, and as she passed right in front of me with her babies, she only looked at me, eye to eye. I was not taking picture, I did not want to scare the family. The mother walked gently and then flew up on top of a huge tree. I never saw a bird of that size flew on a tree. The little babies followed the mummy. Mummy put them under her wings
