My husband never got the "Welcome Home" he deserved. So, we try to make up for it every year on Veteran's Day. Last year, our little girl put on her star spangled skirt and waved her flag in celebration of her fathers dedication. I don't think I will ever be able to relive that "Welcome Home" moment the way that he wanted in June of 2008, but I was still able to give him a moment he'll never forget.
