In 1965 I was lucky to get a week's free concert tickets to Benjamin Britten's Aldeburgh Festival within days of hearing my Father would never leave hospital. The whole experience of wonderful music, the kindness of Britten and the quaint and beautiful town of Aldeburgh on the English East coast was overwhelming for me. Although I'm not religious, Aldeburgh will always be the home of my soul. This is a reflection of John Piper's window in Aldeburgh church, depicting Britten's 3 Church Parables.
