    Edit Photo Details Wild Stallion   #wyoming #wildhorses #mustangs #reddesert
This photo was taken at sunset on a summer day in 2013. This stallion is elusive, keeping his mares far away from the reach of a camera lens. He was leading them to water, when they passed by us, and we were somewhat hidden, and the wind was in our favor. You can see the battle scars earned earlier in the summer as he fought to keep his family band intact and gain more mares. The wild horses are a hot topic right now, and I am fortunate to live near hundreds of wild horses in WY.
