On my birthday this year we had an amazing snow storm that cancelled classes. As the day progressed, I got more and more bored and wanted to get in my car (4wd) and take photographs of the waterfalls just outside of Highlands, NC. It was a treachorous climb up the mountain but well worth it. I was in complete solitude and the peacefulness was amazing. Normally this waterfall is packed with people so to be here by myself and to try out my 10-stop ND filter was a great birthday gift to myself!
