Surajkund Mela is an annual trade fare that exhibits in India drawing on its rich cultural aspects, including religion. With India's significant Hindu population, 'Monkey Man' depicts a Hindu man dressed and made up to appear like 'Hanuman', the Hindu monkey-god of India whose role is that of protector and boundary guardian of Indian villagers. Allegedly, Hanuman was mischievous in his childhood and this incarnation certainly looks to be capable of a little mischief, don't you agree?
