Jordanian bagpipers in traditional military dress in Jerash in northern Jordan. Some say the bagpipes were a local Hittite invention from 1000AD. Others say they came from when the British occupied the area early in the 20th century. All I know for sure is if you are Scottish, you can hear Scotland the Brave played by a Jordanian piper in an ancient Roman amphitheater. Globalization.
