I spent hours watching this marsh because it was famous for beautiful blue herons. It was late afternoon when this large grey blue beauty quietly floated in over the bullrush and tall grass fish in mouth. He was looking for some clearing on solid ground to deal with his catch. When he found such a place it was much to far out of reach for my humble lens. Perfect light. Perfect subject, I hope I did it justice.
