My Identity
With a self-portrait not necessarily needing the focus of a facial subject, I thought I'd capture the details of my fingers, which also defines me as a person.
I wanted a dramatic feel to my shot, so to get this effect, I ended up rubbing grease from my bicycle chain for the dirt base and dipped my hands into banking flour for the white layer. Reason for this, was to define the outlines of my finger prints, shot against a glass pane with an 85mm.
Thanks for viewing my experiment.
