As the sun began to close the day I wanted to capture the last race horse off the track as it headed for the stables at the closing of Santa Anita. I wanted to capture them in a quiet,calm mood. I found the moment to be rather peaceful. I am astonished at the shear beauty of these animals. Such courageous athletes...full of grace.
