Smiley Seal
I took this photo at the north end of our local beach where I came across this lone seal. It seemed quite content for me to get reasonably close and at first I thought that it may have been injured or beached, but it seemed quite relaxed as it happily posed for photos. I like to think that it's smile says it enjoyed my company. There are grey seals that frequent the beach at the south end of our island, but this common seal is the first I've seen at the north end. It has been spotted again since
