I took this self portrait when my husband and I were working in two different countries for a year. I joined a 365 days project at the time, to help time pass quicker. On this particular day, I decided to stick with a black and white self portrait. I was thinking about all the things I'd write to him if love letters were still in fashion and this was the expression I captured. There is a faint smile, but it's a sad smile. This is why smiles are so magical. The possibilities are endless.
