We took a small boat to explore life at the backwaters of Kerala near Kappad beach one afternoon. The sun was blazing hot. A local on his canoe passing close to our boat saw me trying to click his picture. He was staring at me all this while but the idea of a photograph suddenly made him a little shy. He turned his gaze but couldn't control a subtle smile.
