In the middle of August, 2010 forest fires were raging in the coastal mountains and interior of British Columbia, Canada. I anchored in this little bay, all alone - one of many such nights where no one knew where I was and it was just me and Kharma (my Ingrid 38 sailboat). Came on deck and this stunningly peaceful scene with the smoke haze and a half moon. took lots of pictures in the next 10 minutes trying to decide which natural abstract painting was best.
