The Elephant's Story
Elephant Camps in Thailand are largely used as a tourist attraction for foreigners to ride elephants and watch them do circus like performances. Little do most people know how horribly treated some of these creatures are. Hooks and sharp sticks are violently stabbed into these magnificent animals to "train" them. I was told it doesn't really hurt them, but their eyes tell us a different story. The pain and abuse is looking back at us. Hopefully we can all make a conscious effort to help them.
