Sugarbush Feast
The highvelt Sugarbush is part of the Protea family. They grow wild on the slower inclines of mountainous terrain and produce these vivid flowers. The flower offers a feast to insects. It produce pollen for some, nectar for others and the large pink petals at the bottom form a cup to provide a rainwater reservoir. You can see how many species of insects are all collecting its offerings.
