    Earlier this spring, I happened upon a pine tree full of Black-Capped Chickadees (Poecile atricapillus). I captured a number of photographs of them foraging in the branches of the tree. This picture of the moment one of the birds took off from the tip of a branch has become one of my favorite bird photos I have ever taken. I love the freedom and sense of adventure it portrays.
