It took me almost a year to take this photograph. This assignment provided me the impetus to get going. I made my way to the top of a small granite outcropping off the trail at the Column of the Giants Nature Walk in Tuolumne County, California. To check the view finder and LiveView, I need to scoot beneath the tripod legs as I am laying down against the sloped granite. A right-angle finder would have been nice. The cliffs were lit with a large flashlight.
