The Stewart Fountain, Kelvingrove Park.
This is the Stewart Fountain in Kelvingrove Park. It was built in 1871/72 and was a memorial to the late Robert Stewart who, as Lord Provost of Glasgow, was credited as being mainly responsible for procuring Glasgow's first fresh water supply from Loch Katrine over a distance of 26/7+ miles via aqueducts and tunnels. The fountain is no longer in use due to problems with the water pipes and the occasional act of vandalism.
