Inle Lake is in the Shan state of Myanmar, one of the highest at an altitude of 2900 feet.Though, not very large the lake has some endemic species of snails and fish. The people live mainly on subsistence farming. It's still on the off-beaten tourist track, but is fast changing, go now before it gets spoiled.
