    It was early morning and we went to the wharf in the coastal town of Maconacon in Isabela, northern Philippines to buy some freshly-caught lobsters. As we were waiting, I saw a fisherman slowly paddling his way into the municipal waters of the Pacific Ocean. It was so serene.
