We stopped by a small store in the roadside while on our way to Sagada, a town in Mountain Province, Philippines. All we could think of was consuming cup noodles to warm our freezing bodies. Outside the store, there was a small child sitting with a dog and a rooster. Unfazed by the cold morning of the highlands, she timidly smiled at us and warmed our hearts.
