Giovanni was working in a vineyard on the Island of Lipari picking the grapes in the vineyard. I saw the toil of a hard working man on his face. It was on this trip to Italy I finally had a breakthough and was much less afraid to walk up to someone and ask if I could take photos of them. It's hard to do but each time gets easier.
