As I stared out the car window at the sharp green hills jutting up from the Pacific Ocean, a strange sight caught my eye. Small, black and white striped creatures, grazing in a small herd. They were zebras-- zebras in San Simeon, California. I later found out that these zebras were one of the remaining parts of William Randolph Hearst’s private zoo. William Hearst, an influential and extremely wealthy business owner.
