I wanted to portray the struggle between a man and his art and the moment at which the work takes a life of its own. The artist is Mikhail Gubin (http://www.gubinart.com/) - he is a sculptor, painter, photographer, collage-maker, and an artist in the pure sense of the word. He has always been an inspiration to me as someone who pursues his vision and never stops exploring.
