A leap of the Great Migration
The Great Migration of approximately 1.7 million wildebeest occurs each year from Tanzania to Kenya and back again. The quest for food is primal. The insane dash across the Mara River is for survival and primal DNA warns of death from the waiting jaws of crocodile, drowning, broken limps or getting stuck amidst the large rock outcroppings. I was down on the river bank when I took this photo and the adrenaline from these amazing animals was visceral. Magnificent nature!
