    There is a medium-sized duck behind tucked away in our neighborhood that attracts a variety of waterfowl. I almost spooked this Great Blue Heron as I'd walked to within about 10 meters of it before I even saw it motionless here along the bank. I lowered my profile and edged as close as I could to snap some shots through the weeds.
