The faithful at the Golden Temple
The aura of the Golden Temple (constructed in 1577 CE) simply overwhelmed me. Electric lamps now light the premises at night but the faith of the visitors remains unchanged. The grand buildings of white marble all around, the pool of 'nectar' infront (from which the place gets its name Amritsar), the gold plated temple in the middle of it and most importantly the rush of the faithful, coupled with the incredible cloudy morning sky left me with an indelible experience.
